Description

The Matcha Whisk is a traditional Japanese tool that helps you turn powdered matcha into a smooth, frothy cup. Made from natural bamboo with finely split tines, it easily whisks the powder without clumps, giving you a rich, creamy foam every time. Lightweight and perfectly balanced, it feels comfortable in your hand and makes it simple to get just the right texture. The natural bamboo scent and feel make the ritual of preparing matcha calming and enjoyable, connecting you to centuries of tea tradition while creating a mindful moment with every cup.

Why this product is special:

  • Whisks matcha into a dense, even froth
  • Prevents clumping for smooth texture
  • Lightweight and balanced for easy control
  • Traditional design honours authentic Japanese tea preparation
  • Durable with proper care

How to use:

Soak the whisk briefly in warm water to soften the bamboo tines, then add about 1 g of matcha powder to a bowl. Pour 100 ml of water heated to around 80 °C over the powder, and whisk quickly in an “M” or “W” motion until a light froth forms. Rinse the whisk with clean water, shake off excess, and let it air dry upright or on a whisk holder to maintain its shape.

Mineral vs. Chemical Sunscreen: What's the Difference?

Chemical filters absorb UV rays and convert them into heat. They're inexpensive and widely used, but some — especially older-generation filters — are unstable in sunlight, breaking down and generating free radicals. They can also irritate sensitive skin. The biggest concern is that several have been linked by scientists to hormonal disruption — one reason we don't carry them at Nuvola.

Mineral filters like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide work differently: they sit on the skin's surface and work by scattering and reflecting UV rays instead of absorbing them. The result is stable, broad-spectrum protection that's well tolerated by sensitive skin, babies, and pregnant women.
